APR 2015: Timothy Evans, PP-ASEL Instrument-Airplane

April 3, 2015, at the Stevens Point Wisconsin Airport (KSTE): Timothy Evans, a certificated pilot of single-engine land airplanes, completed instrument flight training with Wanda Zuege, 2010 Flight Instructor Of The Year/Wisconsin. As a Private Pilot, Evans was authorized to fly passengers for pleasure or personal business under Visual Flight Rules in Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC); to fly in weather where the visibility would be 3 miles or greater in controlled airspace.

On Friday, April 3rd, Tim first demonstrated mastery of the single engine aircraft for each instrument TASK performed during the Instrument Practical Test flight with Designated Pilot Examiner, Harold “Duffy” Gaier at the Marshfield Municipal Airport.

Under the authority of FAR Part 61.57 of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Timothy Evans is now eligible to fly by reference to instruments under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) in single engine airplanes. Known as blind flying, the advanced instrument rating is an aviation flight category that describes flying in weather conditions with less than 3 statute miles of visibility in controlled airspace.

November 2014: Hi Wanda. Just completed my (Instrument Knowledge) test. 80% for your records… Tim Evans
