Jim Duffy, CFI, CFII, MEI, ATP, A&P

Am I High Aviation, LLC is pleased to announce that Jim Duffy has joined the flight team and will head the newly created Professional Pilot Instructor Training Program. Duffy comes with over 22 years and 11,300 flight hours of experience in the aviation industry. 

 

• instructed two private pilots and three CFI reinstatements to completion. 
• Flight training completed that led to successfull employment as a professional pilot:
• 1 recurrent Commercial/Multi/Instrument
• 1 recurrent King Air/IPC.

During my professional career, I have had the privilege of piloting the Cessna 310E, Beechcraft 58 Baron, King Air, BE1900D Airliner, Mcdonnell douglas DC9,and the Boeing 717.  In addition to my capacity as a pilot, I had the opportunity to serve as a Check Airman, a member of the Flight Standards Board and the Expanded Procedures Committee.  My experience in the airline environment has proved to be a helpful source of exposure to Crew Resource Management philisophy, state of the art Flight Management Systems, glass cockpit technology and modern flight automation systems.

 

My total flight experience also includes single engine general aviation aircraft such as the Piper Cherokee, Warrior, Archer, Arrow, Cessna 150, 152, 172, 177, 182, Beechcraft Sierra, and the Grumman Lynx.  Additionally, I have had the opportunity to fly small twin engine aircraft such as the Piper Seneca, Piper Seminole, and the Beechcraft 80 Queen Air. 

 

Experience in the aircraft maintenance field gave me great exposure to key roles in Maintenance Planning, Engineering Research and Development, and Technical Publications Writing necessary for the creation of Engineering Orders, Fleet Campaign Directives, and Production Control Items. 

 

Additionally, I was able to serve as a member of the Douglas Service Bulletin Review Committee, the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Board, the Reliability Board, the Airline Transportation Association (ATA) Committee, Facilitator of the Daily Operations Board, and Technical Liaison for Flight Operations and Inflight departments.
