Am I High Aviation, LLC Announces New Team Member and New Training Program For Furloughed Pilots.

Stevens Point, Wisconsin.  June 20, 2009 -- Am I High Aviation, LLC, a leading provider of accelerated flight and ground training, today announces a new team member, James Duffy, and the launch of a new Professional Pilot Instructor Training Program.

Am I High Aviation, LLC is pleased to announce that Jim Duffy has joined the flight team and will head the newly created Professional Pilot Instructor Training Program. This Pilot Program will enable commercially rated pilots to gain additional experience and training related to low altitude single engine and multi engine aircraft operations.

With 22 years experience and over 11,300 flight hours, Duffy has the expertise necessary to positively guide experienced career pilots through the transition training for the flight instructor certificates and ratings. Most importantly, Duffy will assist in navigating through the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) website, paperwork and interviews necessary to receive the training funds.

Pilot candidates who complete this training will benefit from the program by becoming familiar with current FARs; recent airspace, security and safety regulations; VFR/IFR low altitude operations and up to date flight instructin techniques.  The pilot candidates will receive professional training and guidance from experienced instructors who have extensive flight experience in FAR 121, 135 and part 91 operations.  This program is tailored for the experienced pilot who has accumulated 4500 hours of flight time in the last 6 years.  Less experienced pilots are welcome to enroll in the program, but may require additional training to complete the entire CFI/II certification.  Minimum requirements for enrollment in the program are a Commercial certificate and instrument rating.

The cost for the program is $6,350.00 and includes: books and study materials, individual ground instruction, and individual flight instruction necessary for taking the FAA practical exam for the CFI, CFII certificates.  Funding is available federally by the U.S. Department of Labor to states for loss of jobs due to outsourcing and foreign competition and by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for trade-affected workers. Funding is administered through theDepartment of Workforce Development (DWD).
