How To Be A Pilot
• You must be at least age 16 to take the pilot test, but you can start classes earlier.
• Log at least 40 hours flight time (including a minimum of 20 hours of instruction).
• Pass a FAA Knowledge (private pilot written) Test.
• Get an FAA 3rd class medical certificate (a basic physical exam).
• Pass the required practical/flight test.
